Have you ever visited a website and wondered whether there is Cash On Delivery or EMI available or if you can pay with PayPal instead of giving your credit card details.

The anxiety around payment method is very real. Most buyers will not even know why they are skeptical about buying from your website, but in their gut they will feel they should not buy from your website.

Unless you make it very clear upfront that you accept payments via PayPal or have EMI options or Cash On Delivery.

And this week’s Payment Badges (Design Pattern # 16) is exactly about that.

Swipe to see some Real World Examples and how you can use it.

Persuasive Design Pattern #16 :
Payment Badges

🧠 Design Patterns That Influence Human Perception
Why use it?
When your customer is concerned about the modes and security of the payment before buying your product, use Payment Badges Design Pattern.
How is it different from the previous trust badges?
In our ‘certification badges’ design pattern, we saw how to use it when purity, quality and safety of the product matters to the customer, while payment badges are used when secured payment is of utmost concern to the customer. The context is different here.
